About

Established in 1967 by breeders concerned over the loss of genetic diversity, we are the oldest rare breed poultry society in the U.S. In the period of the 1980’s-1990’s the club faltered before finally being revitalized in 1996 due to the efforts of dedicated breeders. Although our membership has changed some over the years we have maintained our dedication to the preservation of rare poultry breeds. They provide us a unique glimpse into the lives of past generations; genetic treasures well worth the effort of saving.
